Note that all reports regarding loose/stray dogs/cats be referred to Cleveland City Kennels at 216-664-3069.  Complaints made after 5 pm should be referred to your local law enforcement officials.

To report a suspected case of animal neglect or cruelty, call 216-377-1630 and provide the information listed below.  Please note, this information is of necessity for the safety of our officers.  All calls and reports of abuse remain strictly confidential.

1. Your name and telephone number
2. Street address, number and street, of
     residence/site of the alleged violation
3. Accurate description of the animal(s) and
     incident/situation

 
You may also provide the above required information via EMAIL HERE. Please include 'Animal Cruelty' in the subject line to identify your email as a priority.

We work to end animal cruelty and neglect through education, investigation, and prosecution of offenders.  Our humane agents and officers are empowered to enforce State and Cleveland Municipal animal protection laws.

Improper care of animals, including lack of proper food, water, shelter, and veterinary treatment is against the law and may be prosecuted to the fullest extent of law.
