The Cleveland Animal Protective League knows its adoptable animals are stars, and Cleveland celebrities are pitching in to help us prove it. In 2012, local celebrities are selecting their favorite Cleveland APL pets to sponsor. Each celebrity will use their talents to increase awareness and help educate Greater Clevelanders about the benefits of saving a homeless animal’s life and improving their own lives in the process. Celebrities will also be honoring Cleveland APL adopters by providing exclusive prizes to a few lucky adopters.
Celebrities are already lining up to join the campaign and will appeal to a wide range of interests - diehard sports fans, news junkies and local foodies will all be excited to hear about the celebrities involved. The Cleveland APL will announce each celebrity participant and the adoption promotions as their sponsor periods approach.
Bruce Drennan, host of the popular Cleveland sports talk show All Bets Are Off, is the campaign’s first celebrity sponsor. From now until January 16, Drennan is sponsoring all adoptable Cleveland APL dogs and offering a chance to sit in on a live taping of his show.
“My wife, Jackie and I have a very special place in our hearts for dogs. We simply adore them! They give so much joy, companionship and love and ask for nothing in return,” said Drennan. “We refer to our dogs as our four-legged children because it doesn't take long for them to find a way into your heart as a true family member.”
“Recently, we saw Albert, Bam-Bam and Lucky 21 at www.ClevelandAPL.org. We believe these and all adoptable Cleveland APL dogs deserve a real home. That's why I'm asking you to open your hearts and homes; give these special four-legged children a new place to live. The love they provide in return truly cannot be measured.”
“Please consider adopting one of the Cleveland APL's shelter pets. Jackie and I think they are the most special dogs of all. Most importantly, they need you. And the Cleveland APL adoption process is fun, personalized and streamlined. In short, these animals are ready for your love.”
“If you adopt your new pet from the Cleveland APL, we want to know. Call in at 866.786.8555, email me at Bruce@sportstimeohio.com, or share your photos and experience on Twitter @ABAOSTO and @ClevelandAPL or post on our Facebook wall.”
