In 2011, our focus on communicating the value of spaying and neutering companion animals led to a milestone last fall: The Cleveland APL’s Animal Welfare Clinic (AWC) neutered its 20,000th animal since opening in 2008.
Although we are ecstatic about accomplishments like this, we know that our work isn’t done. We know that animals who are abused, neglected or left homeless due to circumstances beyond their control will continue to arrive at our doors.
We helped thousands of homeless animals last year, including Jolene the cat and Bernie the dog, but we need your help to continue our work.
Can we count on your support today? With your help, we will:
Promote the adoption of shelter animals throughout our community;
- Share the life-saving message of spaying or neutering all companion animals;
- Provide veterinary care, vaccinations and nutritious food to homeless animals;
- Continue to work diligently at finding the best possible match for every animal on our adoption floor;
- Provide gentle foster care to animals when needed, nurturing them until they are ready for adoption.
Sincerely,
Sharon A. Harvey
